Cape Town South Africa Table Bay Hotel Review

South Africa, is an intoxicating mix of sleek, sexy cosmopolitan and raw, sensuous, primitive emerging cultures, and she has won my heart and warmed my soul. Never have I been so moved by any destination as I was by this amazing country. This seventeen year old democracy, still in its infancy, is making tremendous strides toward advancement for all her people, while maintaining the right to be unique, in the warm, sultry way that is strictly South Africa. “The oppressor and the oppressed have come together to chart the road to a Democratic South Africa.” 1

Enough heavy handed words- it is more than a bucket list experience- it is life-changing! Never have I been affected by a trip as I was this one. The people are warm, inviting, fun-loving, and altogether charming. There is a vibration throughout that is sultry, and untamed, while inviting passersby to become a part of the magic. This country has everything anyone could ask for in a vacation destination, and more! Gorgeous beaches, rugged countryside, wild bush areas, which include some of the most plush and romantic reserves imaginable- just ask the Bachelor- cosmopolitan cities that include fabulous dining, shopping, and entertainment; and beautiful, loving people! I was literally wowed every single day! There is so much to share that I am going to break it down into several blogs, beginning with The Table Bay Hotel Review in Cape Town. This is going to take me several weeks to share everything I have to share, but it will be so worth it, and I hope, will leave you craving more- then we can get to the business of getting you there! Believe me, it is a wonderful value for your dollar, and there are so many itinerary options through my partners that will amaze and delight you.

A word to the sponsors of my trip- Lion World Tours, Thank You from the bottom of my now bigger heart! I had the privilege of interviewing the heads of these companies, and those interviews will be included in coming blogs. Absolutely amazing people with incredible vision for their country, and I am proud to now be a part of it!

My traveling companions and I were split up into several hotels- The Table Bay Hotel, a Leading Hotel of the World, The Commodore Hotel, 15 On Orange, and The 12 Apostles Hotel and Spa. We visited each property, did site inspections, enjoyed the fabulous food and entertainment, and learned that each one has its own unique attitude and flavor, which I will share with you. I resided at The Table Bay Hotel in a lovely, inviting suite with a balcony that overlooked Table Bay and Table Mountain.

This hotel has 329 rooms and sits right on the V&A Waterfront, in
close proximity to the area shops, bars and restaurants. It is definitely 5
star accommodations and the Atlantic Restaurant has one of the best
breakfast buffets I have ever had the privilege of enjoying. The following pictures do not even encompass one half of the options!

Yes, those are fresh oysters, about 10 different kinds of yogurt, breads, fish, meats, hot dishes, grains, juices, and on and on!

There are lounges, a conservatory and bar, along with a beautiful pool and a wonderful fitness area. The staff is friendly, professional and very efficient, and their aim is to please. The outside patio is a perfect place to enjoy a meal, drinks, or just soak up the sights and sounds of the bay.  It has a business center with internet access, and it is also connected to a beautiful shopping mall. This is a perfect location to call home base while you take in all that Cape town has to offer, which I will go into after the hotel reviews.

Ready to go now? I am here to help make it happen for you! Until my next blog…dream South Africa!
